THE MANY REASONS WHY RURAL IS BETTER THAN URBAN

Listen, I know I live in the city but I wish I could move from Edmonton to Magrath or Barrhead. Here are the reasons why.

1. I can see stars in Barrhead and Magrath, in the city I can't because of the lights.
2. Less litter or vandalism, in the city, it's very common.
3. Rural life has no criminals, city, plenty of them.
4. Barrhead and Magrath has extraordinary creatures such as, frogs, bats, minnows, ducks and deer, Edmonton, quite rare.

5. Rural, you can here birds sing, bees buzz and other wonderful natural sounds, urban, the only thing you here are cars, jackhammers and other loud obnoxious noises
6. Town the air is fresh and sweet, city, nothing but smog and air pollution

7. Barrhead and Magrath are very wise with their resources, and they are renewable, Edmonton, just fossils fuels and the guys that extract them are plagued with greed and foolishness, plus they take more they they need!
8. Town, easy to find your way back home, city easy to get lost!
9. The town has lots of members of the church.
10. In a town, everyone knows each other, city lots of strangers.

In future blog posts I will talk about stuff such as whaling, over hunting, overfishing and pollution.

Good Times

In my life there were really good times. one of them was getting a HD screen TV with a blu-ray player. Another was getting a better computer. Another was getting an apple TV. On it you get cool stuff such as Netflix, YouTube the iTunes store movies and the ones you already purchased. And another good time was getting a Venus Flytrap! By just getting one, it enticed me to study Carnivorous plants. And going on vacation. Such as, The trips to Magrath. The USA road trip, Going to Barrhead, and the around the world trip. Another was a science center summer camp. There I went on my first plane.

It was only a small one. Another was Getting an iPAD. The best one was going to Ottewell. There I took the laptop program, where I did most of my work on the computer.
Another was seeing my first natural disaster. You see we were driving from Waterton and I saw smoke on the horizon. Once we got nearer to it, we discovered that the grainery at Magrath was on fire, luckily no one was hurt.
My life is great, but because these things happened it made it awesome!

Down to the Prairie

Just after Barrhead, my family went down to Magrath to see my Grandma and our great grandparents. The ride was 6 hours (though it felt like 24). Before we arrived we did a little stargazing, I caught sight of the Big Dipper. When we arrived we saw Grandma Bonny, Brenda and their pets. There had two puppies named Wolfe and Bentley and their cat named Tiger. There were all thrilled to see us. After that we got into bed. Believe it or not, Tiger crept in to my room and got up on the bed. But she eventually left. In the morning I was the first one up. When I got upstairs, the dogs came rushing to me and jumping on me. After that I got a little exercise. Much later we went to see our other Grandparents, Grandpa and Grandma Bennett, then Grandpa Lyman and Grandma Joyce and then Grandpa Steele and Grandma Loree. I was really exited to see them. Did you know that Grandpa Steele has a Katana (Japanese sword)!! Best of all they all live in Cardston, the same town, so we don't have to go to Lethbridge and then Cardston again.
When we were in the South we dropped by at a Restaurant at a place called Twin Butte. In case you didn't know, this guy bought an old store and turned it into a Mexican Restaurant. My dad loved that place, and so did I. After that we went to Red Rock Canyon were we waded, threw rocks and admired nature's work. And the water was chilly! Then we went to Waterton, where we skipped stones, ate ice cream and saw Deer! I felt Unhappy to leave all that but I'll be back November.
