Video Game Camp
Before the summer my mom was planning on sending me to a video game designing camp. Day 1:When the day came I went to the Telus World of Science went to the space exhibit and found the room. After I got settled in the instructors showed us a movie how playing games could improve our video game designing. Then we got to design play example games, you know to get us going with the flow. After that we had lunch. Then we got to play capture the flag. I called my self jailbreak because I freed many of my team from jail. After capture the flag we went back. Once there we made character our level and main character. We always ended at 4:00 PM. Day 2:We worked on our enemies and levels. They taught us how to make stuff invisible, and how to die After lunch and more Capture the Flag We visited the Crime Gallery. There we learned about how crimes were solved, the parts of a police car, how to know a criminal when you see one, how maggots solve crimes, and what Johnny Law used (hopefully not on me since I'm a jaywalker!) Day 3: we made traps that would kill the main character lives, health and points. The exhibit we went to was the new Robots gallery. Not only did they show stuff from the movie robots, but also how robots are used today the timeline of robots and a life size model of C-3PO and the robot Gort from The Day the Earth Stood Still. What we also did was see IMAX Hubble, you know that giant orbiting telescope, that takes pictures of space, they show how they repaired and made the telescope and the spectacular pictures of space. Day 4: When I got there we created tiles to make the game more fancier, you know, stone, dirt, spikes and vines. What we did after lunch and Capture the Flag we saw a segment called Fire and Fury. The scientist showed how when you burn toilet paper it leaves no ashes. She also showed how a fine powder can be very flammable. She used chemicals used in fireworks to make amazing display of colours, and spoiled the magic!
Next we went to the environment gallery when I learned about alternative energy, toxic gases and where the come from, soil, wetlands erosion etc. And created lightning and a tornado. Day 5: It was the best day I ever had! I rode on the Segway (the vehicle used in Mall Cop,) Tried out the multi-access trainer (I didn't get sick but all the blood was rushing to my head,) Watched a film about how the Soviets not the Americans won the race to space at the Star Theater. We made the finishing touchers to our game and even loaded the example games on a USB. At the space exhibit I made a alien out of myself, attempted to land Apollo and failed. landed on Mars, controlled a rover, and destroyed earth. My Dad when I got home did not want my game because he said it was bug infested.

In the Ol' Wild Boreal Forest 2
This post is about my trip to Barrhead. The reason why Barrhead is one of my top vacation spots, is because it has, like Southern Alberta, a wide variety of unique animals. There are not just Farm animals, but there are Porcupine, frogs, water skimmers, bats, fish (in thunder lake) moose and my favourite invertebrate, leeches! Plus it's isolated in the middle of a forest.
A couple of weeks ago we went to Barrhead to visit my Grandma and Grandpa Shipley. When we arrived we hung out, had dinner, and I tried out new apps the Skylanders Cloud Patrol and Minecraft: Pocket Edition. And I was planning on watching Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. After we hung out, we had a nice quiet sleep, away from all the cars and noise of the city. The next day was a fresh start. I tried my new apps, ate breakfast, and got ready for the quads! A few days before the trip my dad took me out to get Quad gloves at the store, because my dad got a thorn in his knuckle. After we started it up, we drove around the woods, in the field and near the stream. My brother and mom were searching for pond life, and at one point saw a ginormous tadpole and a frog. We were also driving through mud and puddles, but it smelled like cow manure.
After that I went inside to watch The Empire Strikes Back. After that I played on the trampoline ate dinner which was awesome. We got to roast hotdogs and marshmallows over a fire and after that we left for home.
I love visiting Barrhead and I can't wait to go this weekend!

Down to the prairie beta
The day the time we were going to Magrath had come. Mom had packed our stuff and we were ready to go. Before we left I claimed to have saw a coyote, but my annoying siblings didn't believe me. After that we were off, and several cramped miles later we arrived in Nanton. First, we went to Subway, which by the way is a great restaurant. First you pick your own toppings, next the food is delicious and nutritious. After that we went to the candy shop. They got gum, Snickers, Reese, mints, licorice and a nearby antique store where my brother bought a dagger and a toy pistol with an unusually large bayonet. After travelling through Fort Macleod, Lethbridge etc. We finally reached Grandma Bonny's house. After that we got settled down and I played some Wii. After dinner we got ready for bed. The next day was a late start. My mom was planning on going to Cardston so that was what we did. In Cardston they have a temple where my parents got married and where my all five of my great grandparents live (The sixth died.) I'm lucky I have relatives that live this long to know me! Anyway we took Grandpa Harold out for DQ which by the way has nice onion rings. After that we said Good-bye and left. I'll tell you one story one of our previous trip to the south. One time we were driving down and I saw smoke on the horizon, I thought "oh maybe a there is a BBQ" but as I got closer I not a BBQ it was a fire. You might think it's a camp fire but you're just dead wrong. It was Granary Fire!! Due to dry wood and relentless heat it turned into a tinderbox, thankfully no one was hurt. When we arrived we did the usual, then got settled for the night. The next day my brother Grayson was excited because my cousins Isaac and Caleb were coming over tonight. Anyway we went to Grandpa Lyman and Grandma Joyce's place. We got settled down and talked with each other. Did you know a man in Lyman's family participated in World War Two, but died in the Italian Campaign. After we went home, we visited Grandpa Bob's sister Cathy. Her house is amazing! She has a spoon collection, a fireplace, a treehouse, a Windows 7 computer and other unique stuff. She also lives near a dam. then later that evening we went back to Grandma Bonnies's home. The next day the me and my cousins woke up to go to Waterton. When we got there it was snowing! Cameron Falls was frozen and I went down to the stream. And discovered something amazing! even though I'm skinny, I can still take down a 100 pound Grayson. We went to the lake and threw some rocks. We also saw deer while we were in Waterton. After that we went down to Twin Butt. You know that store and restaurant? That's where we went. They have really nice food. Even though they sell beer (see Alcohol: Drink or Deathbringner for details.) After that we enjoyed our last day in paradise (I think) 'cause the next day we were going home.
Considering conference
This blogpost is about what I learned during General Conference. First I learned about judgement of others. Dieter F. Uchtdorf taught me that if I was judging others, I had to stop! I have to respect others no matter what. Next was about forgiveness. The prophets said I have a right to forgive all men. So the quote I said at pearl harbor at the memorial "I'll never forgive the bastards who bombed this ship". I actually regret it once I heard it. May I mention the choir sang beautifully. And mom was sad that some people were being released. The church news after it said the was going to be the first French temple, in the city of lice er sorry lights. We had the priesthood session. And I remember every speaker. Adriàn Ochoa, Richard C. Edgly, David A. Bednar, Thomas S. Monson, Dieter F. Uchtdorf and Henry B. Eyring. I'm glad they guide us like living Liahonas.

Alcohol: Drink or Deathbringer (updated)
Drink. One of the needs and wants of the past, pressent and future. Can be plain and flavored in anyway. But of all the drinks in the world, there is one you should avoid. Alcohol! Whether it's wine or beer, shots or cocktails. Whether the company is Coors Light, Budweiser, Molson Canadian, Bud Light First of all it dulls your senses, so you feel all drowsy, second it tears apart families, third your all energetic after you drink it then your body crashes, next its behind many vehicle accidents which kill a lot of people, drink it too much it could kill you. It makes me want to punch the guys that make them in the face. And if you think I'm joking, try it, 'cause it will make your life miserable. word of wisdom FORBIDS consumption. But there is a bright side. It's used for cleansing of the body! NOT the satisfaction of the tongue. o here's my advice if you had a choice of drinking a DROP of alcohol or being beheaded by a guillotine. Choose beheading! You'll like it way better than Alcohol: the most dreaded drink. Plus in Edmonton, there are more beer advertisements now than there were in May 2012, it was in 80% of all the ads I saw at Cineplex! And besides who would want to drink all that radioactive liquid they call a drink (more like a poison.)

Pornography: Pictures or Poison
Pictures. They can build cities, and they could level them. It could help, and it could hurt. It can benefit good and evil. It could inspire, and discourage. But there is one kind that you MUST avoid. Pornography. It targets young and old. Religious and non-religious. Male and female. It appears in movies magazines, posters etc. But the most common place is the internet. 376 people type in mature search engines a second and one pornographic video is made every half an hour! It makes fun of the human body and does not take it seriously. It tears apart families amd breaks relationships. No offense ladies but it's girls that appear mostly in pornography. Here's my advice. If you had a choice just viewing one inappropriate picture or going to prison, CHOOSE PRISON. You'll enjoy it way better than some dumb photograph!
