Turkish delight

Right now I'm in Marmaris, a town not far from the Aegean sea. I'll tell you what I did in Istanbul. I went to the famous blue mosque which had six minarets and the tiling on the inside which was blue. I also visited Highia Sophia where my sister Sophia got her name. My favourite place was the turkish naval museum. Which had warships from world war one. Galata tower was fascinating and I went vertigo just by going on the balcony. We went to istakal ave. on a tram where I overeacted about an upset stomach.
After Istanbul we flew on a plane to Cappadocia. It is in the Eastern part of Turkey. The best part is we slept in a cave. We explored. We went to the cavern cities where the Hittites and early christians settled. We saw an extinct volcano which formed hoodoos. We climbed the uchisar castle and journeyed across zelve valley.
Then we flew to Marmaris, the town I mentioned earlier. We traveled to both the Medetariannian and the Aegean sea. I visited my cousins. I even played mortal combat a (video game) with them. We went to the ancient city of Ephesus. Ephasus is where Paul preached and was home to the Ephesians. We also went to an abandonded Greek town called Kayakoy. We drove down the datcha peninsula and went to the ruins of Knidos.
I love turkey but still, there is no place like home.

Aquarium adventure

Istanbul was a lot of fun. One day we rode the tramway to the Forum. It's a shopping mall in Istanbul. My dad was going to buy DVD's but first we went to the aquarium. It was called Turkuazoo. I began to like it as soon as I saw the first exhibit. There was a turtle called the mata mata turtle which was found in the amazon river. The next exhibit was full of red bellied piranhas! I heard this story that when a bus crashed into the amazon, 39 people were eaten alive by those ferocious fish!! The next exhibit had puffer fish which was fascinating. The next one had the legendary Arapima. These fish can leap out of the water a whack people off their boats and the person would soon drown. There was a red tailed catfish which could swallow a man whole! Some of the ocean exhibits were full of stingrays. In an 80m underwater tunnel, one stingray flew directly over me. The aquatic tunnel had also sand tiger sharks, a nurse shark and a zebra shark. In one exhibit there was whole family of clownfish, and in another there was very rare fish that reproduced only once in its life! In another there were lots of crustaceans such as crabs, lobsters etc. There was a horseshoe crab exhibit where you can even touch them.
Later we did find DVDs. One movie we saw but did not buy was called Shark in Venice. We get to have a family movie night every night when we come home.
Right now I am in Cappadocia. It is very hot but it will be a lot of fun.

Sahara Safari

Egypt was great! Before I got on the plane to Cairo, I had a little nap because I was supposed to get on the plane at 2am. The sleep went well, I woke up at breakfast, longer than anybody on the whole plane! A couple hours later we saw the pyramids. In one photo it actually shows me holding one of them.The people there were very friendly, they offered gifts, souvenirs and even camel rides! One guy even picked me up and put me on a camel even though I didn't ask him to. But sadly we didn't buy anything or go on a camel ride. After that we saw the sphinx and there was a well where people dropped money in as a donation such as dollars, pounds, euros, etc. At one place two men were arguing over a camel and moments later they began beating each other up with sticks. I said to myself "why can't the people here settle things in a less violent way". The swimming pool at our hotel was very nice so nearing the evening we cooled ourselves off. When we got to our rooms me and Grayson watched the news channel. But the fun in Egypt ended early in the morning because we only stayed there for a day.

Batty in Bangkok And Market Mayhem

I'm just about to leave Thailand and flying to Egypt. Earlier I went to an ancient city that use to be the capital of Thailand but when the armies of Myanmar invaded in the 1700's It became a ruin. In some of the small hollow dome ruins were bats waiting for night to come. There were dozens! Then we headed to a nearby canal we saw catfish even freshwater turtles! I even got to touch a shell of one! We fed them as well as the catfish. The turtles ate the food one pellet at a time in a single snap .
Yesterday we drove to the floating market and the dangerous market. The floating market was on a smelly canal while the dangerous market was on a railroad track! Everyday the train comes and people have to move their goods to the side and when the train passes they put them back to sell. I saw a catfish getting chopped (which made me sick) and snakes and frogs to eat! The floating market was really amazing they sold slide whistles and other instruments and toy weapons made of wood, such as spears, swords, crossbows even guns! I'm going to miss the tasty Thai food while I'm gone but the ones in turkey and Egypt will be just as delicious. (Egyptian food by the way, never tried) Well let's hope it will be tasty.

Diarrhea of a wimpy kid

Okay, so the reason why the post is titled diarrhea of a wimpy kid is because I have the sickness itself. My mother didn't realize how bad it was until the day before the day we left Krabi to Bangkok. But mom showed a scripture verse that rose my spirits. It told me that God knows what I feel like and that he will help me fight my illness. The rest of the days In Krabi were great. We went snorkeling for almost every day and we walked around a site where the 2004 tsunami hit. We saw shipwrecks and wildlife details. It was totally AWESOME!!! We hung out on beaches and me and Grayson (my younger yet annoying brother) were slammed by the tide. It was fun actually. Those were the glory days. Right now I am in Bangkok where my overprotective mother and my dad who keeps flicking me (adults have no sense of humor). We are going swimming.

monkey Business

Right now my location is Krabi, a village on the coast of the Andaman Sea. Yesterday we had a great adventure. I went to the tiger temple. Believe me, it exhausting. I climbed 1236 stairs to get to the summit of a nearby mountain. On the way there I saw many monkeys. Well it was harder going up than down. Some stairways were steep others were not. After that we went to a fish farm. It was restaurant too. I saw groupers , puffer fish even mud skippers. They caught a red snapper and then we ate it.
Earlier in Bangkok I saw the bridge on the river Kwai. There I saw paintings about the life of prisoners of war (POW's) and their Japanese captors. My dad bought five DVDs that I claimed to be frauds. But surprisingly they worked well.

Venom: to cure or kill

Right now me and my family are in Bangkok, Thailand. Today we got to go to a snake farm.

When I was at the snake farm there was this video how a snakes venom could affect the nervous, respiratory and muscular system. But the snakes venom can also be used to produce antivenin for treatment. Venom can be helpful and harmful.

Then we got to see different snakes at a live show. They showed the king cobra in a little presentation.

I was the first to to hold a constrictor. It was huge! Everyone said a little prayer so the snake wouldn't kill me. I was trying to be funny and I said "bye, see you in heaven". Then they they showed me a small snake, I was like "that's the snake?" (because they were going to show me a large one) Just then they put a gigantic python around my neck, I was like "I don't want to be eaten by a snake"!

Besides it would be heartbreaking to see a firstborn son be suffocated then devoured by a constrictor!
It was totally awesome!
I love Thailand as just as much as southeren Alberta, Barrhead and Hawaii.
But still there is no place like home!
